You do not have to be flexible to start practising yoga - you do yoga to improve. Even as a beginner each student will have different physique, history of injuries , health conditions and natural strength and flexibility.
All students are therefore encouraged to practice at their own level of ability, in a mixed ability class.

Regular practice will help improve and sustain each of those, progressing you to new challenging postures.
Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities - you can do the easier/difficult option of the pose, depending on how your body feels that day.
